El antiguo Molino del Santo fue adquirido por una pareja inglesa y transformado en un hotel rural, emplazado en el pequeño pueblo de Benaoján, en el magnífico Parque Nacional de los Alcornocales, en los alrededores de Ronda.

Es un lugar tranquilo y cómodo, con paredes encaladas, sillas de madera y alfombras hechas a mano. El hotel posee doce bonitas y espaciosas habitaciones -algunas con terraza- un jardín, una piscina de agua caliente –por energía solar-, rodeada de higueras, membrillos, y árboles varios. La sala de estar es la más agradable y el restaurante presenta una gran variedad de comida vegetariana, aunque siempre puede degustar otros platos a la carta. Disfrutar de una cena en la terraza, a la luz de las velas, con el sonido del arroyo de fondo, es una experiencia inolvidable.

Hay bicicletas disponibles para dar agradables paseos a lo largo de sus olivares y almendros, o quizás dar un paseo de 3 Km. a la cueva Paleolítica "La Pilate".

My new favourite hideaway in the hills

This hotel was perfection from beginning to end. The setting is utterly beautiful, and each and every member of the staff are charming and thoughtful. The food is amazing, I’d already read the reviews but the whole experience surpassed every expectation I’d had. The hiking routes are varied, and the views are spectacular. The rooms are done in a simple classic Spanish style, and are comfortable and have the added benefit of air conditioning. I hope to come back time and time again.

For probably 8 years we have been taking our guests from our house in Sotogrande up on the train from Estacion San Roque to Benajoan to enjoy lunch at the Molino Del Santo. We have always had the most exceptional food, made to feel most welcome and the staff are delightful. Sitting outside under a parasol with the rushing stream creating a feeling of coolness and the smell of jasmine wafting through the air is a wonderful setting for a long and peaceful lunch. Today was no exception, we had the most delicious gourmet fare with an Andalusian touch, washed down by local wines and all for a very reasonable price. Well done again, keep it up and we will be back in September.
