Localizado en la zona oriental del Algarve, en la fabulosa reserva natural de Sotavento, el Vila Monte Resort fue construido en 1993 y ha sido recientemente renovado. Emplazado en uno de los principales países de golf -en el que se pueden encontrar algunos de los clubes más refinados de Europa-, y con unas vistas magníficas sobre el Atlántico, es un lugar excelente para los amantes del deporte y de la buena comida.
Todas las habitaciones están amuebladas de forma individual y contienen trabajos realizados por su propietario, Adolfo -que es quién ha llevado a cabo la puesta en marcha de este espléndido resort. Vila Monte Resort ofrece su propia academia del golf, piscinas, cancha de tenis, terrazas para tomar el sol, spa, salón de belleza y centro de salud. A poca distancia también encontramos otras actividades que realizar como navegar, bucear y pescar. La calidad de su cocina ha sido internacionalmente reconocida al ser nombrado miembro del Confrèriè de la Chaines des Rotisseurs, en Paris.

A truely beautiful place in a wonderful setting

I loved the modern design and concept matching brilliantly with the countryhouse feeling. The park surrounding the villas is awesome and extremely well kept with a soothing athmosphere. Young, friendly, multilingual and dedicated staff, The place is so nice that we stayed for dinner every day, the meals are tasty and food is healthy and well presented. Could be good to add some more variety to the menu for guests who stay longer. Loveley holiday place, I will recommend it further.

Difficult to rate. There were good and bad sides. After checking in we were taken to the suite. We were informed that it is newly renovated. When we got there, we were greeted by a pungent smell of paint. Nobody could stay there. After some time we were offered another room which was smaller but still had a nice view. The room is said to be more expensive than the suite booked, but they would accommodate us and rent the room for the same price. However, it is correct that the room was about €100 cheaper per night. We checked this on the Secret Places homepage. After a short discussion and consultation with the management, the right price was granted. The host's attempt to rip us off remains, however. Pros: The environment was nice, the restaurant very good.
