Verekinthos Villas

Initially a family farmhouse from the 1800s consisting of three separate buildings, Verekinthos Villas is one of those places with an interesting past and an even more interesting present. From the grape press, chicken coop and stable it used to be and after partially burning down in the past, the farmhouse was lovingly rebuilt and restored by Nikos Papafilipakis in 2002 and nowadays it awaits its guests with a large patio, a terrace, a hammock, a beautiful swimming pool and a barbeque area as well as outdoor entertainment areas on each of its levels, all of this amidst the fairytale-like scenery of the White Mountains and the encompassing castle-like walls.
The Villas still consist of three buildings. The main one has a living room with leather couches, wood paneled ceiling, a fireplace, board games as well as a telescope for you to take a closer look at the sky on clear nights! The kitchen and bathroom are equipped with everything you could only wish for, including a microwave, mixer, blender and coffee machine in the kitchen and a washing machine in the bathroom. From the bedroom, which has a generous double bed, a dresser, a small sofa and is equipped with air conditioning, you can enjoy great mountain views.
The second building, initially a stable, now has a cozy living room with a large sofa, a fireplace, a double bedroom upstairs with French windows and a balcony as well as a bathroom with shower.
In the third building you will (fortunately) find no signs of the former chicken house, but a living room in warm red and orange colors, a kitchenette, a bathroom with shower and a bedroom with double bed, air conditioning, wooden ceiling and – above all - mountain view.
All the buildings have a TV, in the main and second building you will also find a DVD player, radio and CD player. From all the buildings you have access to an ample terrace with table and chairs at your disposal. Private parking is available on site.
The owner has done all the necessary restoration and improvement works based on the original structure and fittings (like old traditional ovens, antique and historical items, flour mill, old tools) which he magically transformed into impressive fireplaces, tables, wooden ceilings and staircases, making the Villas a mixture of modern and traditional, a place not lacking any luxury while still retaining its rural old charm.
Past and present intertwine in this 240 sqm accommodation that you will not be able to forget easily!
