The location of Pousada Oca Trancoso cannot be beaten. It is directly next to the main square (Quadrado), filled with small shops and independent restaurants, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and definitely worth a visit. You'll find yourself directly in the heart of Trancoso, where you can really immerse yourself in the soul and atmosphere of the village. Although there is not a lot of outdoor space within the pousada itself, there is enough to enjoy your stay and the privileged location more than makes up for it. There is also not as much privacy as the other neighbouring pousadas but this makes it ideal for the more social traveler that enjoys relaxing in lounge spaces and getting to know like-minded people.  

The rooms themselves have a very eclectic and fun design, in contrast to other pousadas' more simple, minimalist designs. There are 6 rooms, spread over 2 floors. Whilst every room is lovely and has a balcony and pool view, we would recommend the rooms on the upper floor as they are slightly better. Each room also has a fridge so that you can store water and fruit to cool ready for the hot beach days. If you would like the experience of staying in a traditional 'Quinta particular', which offers more privacy and autonomy, then the pousada offers one studio that provides this. 

Breakfast consists of natural juices, tapioca, omelette, fruits and homemade cakes served by the pool. Your host, Roberto, alongside his team of friendly staff, ensure that everything is perfect and that you have an incredibly enjoyable and comfortable stay.
