The Ashbee Hotel

entornoFrente al Mar
The quintessentially English name and quintessentially Italian location is explained by the fact that the house was constructed in 1908 by a Colonel Shaw-Hellier, who commissioned the famous Architect Charles Robert Ashbee, one of the prime movers of the Arts & Craft movement.
So you get English type style and Italian style warmth just a stone’s throw away from the main streets and chic boutiques of Taormina.
As one would expect of such a place, the 25 rooms and suites each provide an impressive statement of colour and style, dressed with fine fabrics and antique furnishing in a contemporary concept. No two rooms or suite are alike, and each of the deluxe room s (15) and luxury suites (9) are handsomely decorated with a personal touch.
If you want a bit of culture then the Ashbee also offers easy access to the main theatres, museums and all over objects arts, historical heritage of the city. A short walk leads to famous restaurants, to enjoy an excellent cuisine. Today, this new charming house offers some of the finest accommodation in Sicily.
But the hotel itself has much more to offer, such as the Ashbee Bar (see hotel board), a great place for a morning coffee to get you on your way or the Roof Garden for evening aperitifs and the fabulous view of the sea.
Then there’s the panoramic swimming pool that looks out onto the sea. It’s perfect for relaxing, and add in the Ashbee Hotel’s classy pedigree you have the ingredients for a best of both world’s stay - style and leisure.
