La Mozaira

Wir waren für eine Woche in Valencia und haben uns sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Die wunderschöne kleine gemütliche Unterkunft wurde unseren Ansprüchen voll gerecht. Ganz und gar vor zu heben das freundliche Personal, insbesondere "Imna" die einfach unbeschreiblich herzlich und hilfsbereit war. Es hat halles gepasst. Man spürt die Leidenschaft, mit der das Haus liebevoll hergerichtet und renoviert ist, man spürt auch die Leidenschaft des Chef`s und insbesondere die von Imna. Wir werden wieder kommen. What an excellent stay! We took a trip to Valencia to celebrate my sisters 60th Birthday, 5 of us sisters and 2 girlfriends, we couldn't have chosen a better hotel if we tried! From the moment we arrived we were welcomed in the courtyard by Inma the daughter in law of the owners, Pepe & Toni. The hotel absolutely wowed us, they showed us around the ground floor and asked us to treat the hotel as our home during our stay, we booked for 3 nights. They have thought of every detail with the decor in the hotel, every piece of carpentry was made by a local craftsman. We booked standard rooms, but they were excellent, huge bedrooms and huge on suite bathrooms. Later on during our stay, Inma showed us the Junior Suite and it is amazing. On our first day, we relaxed by the pool and Inma got all the sunbeds out for us, we asked for lunch and was not disappointed, we had an excellent lunch with wine and cava. All the food is cooked, baked and prepared on site. That evening we had an excellent 8 course meal in the hotel restaurant, the food was amazing! we mmmmm'd at every mouthful! Breakfast each morning was the same, which i expect you could get fed up with if you stayed longer than 3 days, but it was always so fresh and delightful, homemade cakes too! The spanish do not understand 'English Tea' so I have promised to email Inma with a 'how to!' They got the hang of it in the end. We were totally looked after for the whole of our stay, lovely quiet surroundings, situated in the vegetable farmlands of Valencia. We were about 25 mins in a taxi from the airport and about 20 mins from the centre of town. The town is a mixture of old and new, very scenic and we defo want to go back. Plenty of shops and restaurants and cafe bars. You must visit the produce market on a Monday morning, excellent fresh food! On our last evening at the hotel we were at a bit of a loss as to what to do, so Pepe laid on a Karaoke for us, and later on directed us to a local restaurant for a late night snack. Pepe was very happy to 'taxi' us everywhere and to pick us up at no charge. Good local restaurant to the hotel was the Ca Pepica, again excellent food! We would definitely book this hotel again, in fact my younger sister is going to book later on this year for her partners birthday. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, a great stay and met some wonderful people. A great family run hotel! Lots more positive things I could say, no negatives, except for my cup of tea!
