Decidedly Italian, decidedly Umbrian, decidedly enchanting. Umbria is to many people the Tuscany of yesteryear, a bucolic heaven where Italians from the villages hang out by the piazzas with an espresso coffee in hand and pass the time conversing, joking and gossiping.

It’s the Italian way of life, you see, and in this part of the world they take it seriously.

Hidden somewhere in Umbria, you’ll find L’Ariete, a place of peace and space offering either suite or apartment accommodation, that is “decidedly” and delightfully Italian.

Accommodation:

Suites: 4 ample suites all of which are situated in the main building, have individual entrances, open fireplaces and fully equipped kitchens. Sizes range from 50m2 to 70m2. All also come with private bathrooms and their own heating system. WLAN in every corner of the property, but flat TV screens and DVD player only upon request (you will find a wide range of Italian movies in the library) - and so far no one is asked for them...

Apartments: L’Ariete also has two holiday apartments. They are similarly furnished and decorated in the style of the main building suites – no kitchen. So no other choice than let the L’Ariete take care of you, and enjoy the private garden facing the pool with Montone in the background.

Agriturismo and Boutique Hotel - very special place - highly

My wife and I visited L'Ariete in Umbria for a 4 nights last week and had a wonderful time! Andreas and his wife Martina were more than willing to help with any questions we had about the area and we feel truly grateful for their outstanding service.
The room was spotless and filled with rustic Italian charm and love. Andreas (our host) was very friendly and funny and welcomed us with a beautiful dish of antipasti right in our room!
The B&B itself is a magnificently preserved historical building and its grounds are very well taken care of and filled with lush gardens of lavender. There is also a perfect pool were we spent a lot time in! And the views...the views!!!!! They are breathtaking!
The B&B also has a small restaurant where Andreas hosts and Martina cooks. A must try!!!! Martina cooks up impressive local dishes with much care and Andreas lovingly serves them. The restaurant has an amazing patio with views that will take your breath away!
Together, Martina and Andreas have created the B&B of dreams: Warm atmosphere, tasteful decor and delicious food!

Experience Umbria with your Bike

For the sports person as well as the "connoisseur".

No matter whether you prefer narrow side road or the offroad tracks - Umbria is a biker´s paradise and L'ARIETE the perfect hub for your trips. The region of the upper Tiber valley and bordering Tuscany offers a multitude of tracks and trails for every taste.
Bike along the river arpina to Umbertide, and probably further on along the famous river Tiber to Peruga or fightp your way to one of the hilltop villages such as Montone or Santa Maria Tiberina. Excursions into the Apennin are for the adventurous and enduring ones.
On side roads you will find little traffic, and in general Italians with their great bike tradition will respect you.

At L'ARIETE you wil find route maps (also digital), advice and a small garage to fix what need to be fixed.

Luxury suite on 2nd floor of main building, open stairs leading to a huge living room, bathroom and king size bedroom.

Orso Suite

60 m² suite on the 1st floor. Master bedroom, spacious bathroom, large living room with open fireplace, fully eqipped kitchen, sleeping sofa.

Porcospina Suite

60 m²

Suite on the 2nd floor. Especially well suited for families. Master bedroom, spacious bathroom, large living room with fully eqipped kitchen, sleeping sofa, extra bed in attic - perfect for children.

Apartment Cinghiale

40 m²

The "wild boar", symbol of strength and fertility, abundant in Umbria´s forests. Comes with double bed, living room with sofa and fridge, private bathroom with shower, TV, W-LAN. Disabled friendly.

Apartment Lupo

40 m²

The "wolf", the terrifying beast tamed by the preachings of San Francesco of Assisi, and still found in parts of the Umbrian Apennin. Comes with double bed, living room with sofa and fridge, private bathroom with shower, TV, W-LAN.
